Elena Levkovskaya (b. 1989 Ukraine, aka Olena Levkivska) isa contemporary visual artist specialising inphotography and painting. Her work primarilyexplores themes of human nature, environmentalconnection, current problems of today’s world,and personal narratives. Both her photographsand paintings convey meaningful messages andremain interior works.

Starting from the age of 5, Elena attended TheFirst Children's Art Studio in Kyiv, established byNaum Ostashynskyi. Later on, she took art classesfrom renowned Ukrainian artists, including NinaMurashkina, Julia Balabuha and Petro Malynka. In the fieldof photography, she gained knowledge fromworkshops conducted by Annie Leibovitz.

Elena has received numerous recognitionsthroughout her career. In 2018, she was namedone of Australia’s ‘Top 30 Photographers ofthe Year,’ a significant recognition in the fieldof photography. In 2020, she was featured in‘Leaders in Contemporary Art,’ a publicationhighlighting prominent contemporary artists andtheir outstanding work.

Her artworks have been exhibited and publishedin various national and international magazines,including L’Officiel and Vogue. Her photographsand paintings are part of private collectionsacross Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, andNew Zealand.

As a painter, she has developed her personal stylecharacterised by separate patches that resemblewoodcarving, adding a sense of craftsmanship toher pieces.

Her photography is known for its simplicity andthought-provoking nature. 

Having Ukrainian origin and moved to Sydney, Australia, in late 2015, Elena's connection to her Ukrainian roots played a significant role in her response to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine that occurred on 24 February 2022.
As a result, she co-founded “True Blue and a Little Bit of Yellow” artist collective and co-organised dozens of fundraising exhibitions with the primary goal of raising funds to provide assistance and support to those affected by the war.
