'Manifestation of Healing' is a series of oil paintings that depicts eucalyptuses' bark.
The main focus in paintings is the bark of the eucalyptus. Why close-ups?
“Manifestation of Healing” is a series of paintings that mostly depicts shedding eucalyptus bark as a natural part of their growth and survival strategy. The philosophical context of the subject is a reminder that when you are feeling down, you aren't falling apart. You are falling into place. So, relax. Take some deep breaths and allow those things you don't need anymore to fall off of you. Quit holding onto the pieces that don't fit you anymore. Let them fall off. Let them go and become who you really are. Embrace changes, manifest healings and celebrate new beginnings.
What is the main inspiration behind the paintings?
Today’s world, my world is full of noise and stress, everyone’s rushing..etc.
Personally, I can create only when I have a peaceful mind, so I would describe my artwork as an art of calm. When I work, I don’t think. I think, observe and plot a lot before I work and after I work. And it takes time to go through the whole process of creating each artwork.
For the last two years, I have been doing my research on eucalyptus trees, observing and photographing different kinds across NSW and interstate. And the more I travelled, the more I got fascinated and inspired by their features and nature. I discovered that a tree is something that may anchor you, make you feel down to earth and give you a kind reminder that you can be as still, as strong, as resilient, as thriving as these wood giants. We can bloom and we can celebrate our ups and downs. When we are quiet we can have an honest conversation with ourselves.
So, all these invisible inspirational metaphors and quiet wisdom of trees I put into the series of paintings called “Manifestation of Healing”.
